  • increases the mobility and comparability of qualifications of the financial services workforce in Europe
  • sets up requirements for a mutually recognised banking qualification in Europe

As a result of EBTN’s Triple E project, through collaboration with sectoral stakeholders from the national markets, from 2015 the certificate has been transformed into a new modernised European qualification compliant with the Triple E Standard. It is a professional qualification confirming fundamental knowledge and skills of those who work in a bank for a short period and those who start their careers in a bank and would like to progress at a good pace.

According to a publication on international qualifications issued by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop), the certificate is ‘an early example of a unique certification leading to uniform qualifications in the broad financial services sector’.

For 2019-2022, the Triple E EFCB Committee is composed of the following persons:

Viljenka Markič Simoneti (Slovenia) Chairperson

Sophia Ziakou (Greece)

Andreas Christou (Cyprus)

Emilia Frunza (Romania)

Veronika Lakatos (Hungary)
